Financial hardship and payment assistance
Disasters do not just hit homes. A disaster can affect your financial situation as well by damaging your workplace or affecting your income. If you experience any financial hardship due to a disaster, we may be able to help with flexible mortgage payment options.
We may be able to provide disaster relief if you are impacted by a natural disaster. This may include up to 90-day forbearance on your payments. During the 90-day disaster relief forbearance period, we:
- Do not charge fees for late payments
- Do not send late payment notifications to credit bureaus
- Offer loan payment options based on your situation.
- Provide certain foreclosure protections
If you need payment assistance and would like to request initial disaster relief forbearance benefits, please call our Mortgage Servicing Customer Service at 888-248-LION (5466), Option 6.
We encourage you to continue making your monthly payments according to your loan agreement if you can. Any unpaid payments will become due at the end of the 90-day disaster relief forbearance period.
